Over the past 5 years or so I’ve been part of the team at Madrinas. We’re a unique online coffee and tea brand. Merch is always a hard conversation for us. We also do a lot of collaborative merch well but always get stuck on how we make our own merch great and useful for people. Open to constructive criticism!

Collaborative merch working well is a real signal that your audience wants to be part of something. The gap with in-house merch often comes down to clarity: what does Madrinas stand for beyond coffee? Your own merch should answer that question without explanation. Start there. What would someone wearing your gear be saying about themselves?
